Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Audubon, Iowa
Knowing Jesus! Growing in Jesus! Sharing Jesus!

On February 4th, 1909, the "Christian Society", a group of Danish Lutherans in Audubon, adopted a constitution and became the "Danish Evangelical Lutheran Church of Audubon.  The name of the congregation was changed in 1932 to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.  Our first church building stood on the corner of Leroy & Broadway streets, and was our house of worship from our founding in 1909 until 1950.  The current stone structure was built in 1950.

In 2009, Our Saviour's will celebrate her Centennial.  We invite you to check back on this page as we make plans to celebrate 100 years of Word and Sacrament ministry in our community.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE!

Just a reminder: I am gathering family pictures for the history book/church directory. Please email a family picture in jpeg format to Sandy at skristen@mchsi.com or to Pam at oslc@iowatelecom.net; or bring a media card, flash drive, or have me take your picture some Sunday before or after church. We are not doing the traditional church directory because we felt that in today’s economy most of our families had enough expenses and didn’t need another set of pictures, so we are taking a more casual approach for our centennial history and church directory. It will be printed locally, which will be more economical than other methods. Please have the pictures in or make arrangements for the pictures by the end of April.

Thank you,

Sandy Kristensen
